Tournament of Champions

December 29^th – March 16^th (No Trivia Tuesday, January 5^th)

Prizes, Rules & Regulations:

• Top 10 Teams from 11 weeks of competition advance to the FINAL Tournament of Champions on Tuesday, March 23^rd.  This will be a private catered event with door prizes, raffle (including Red Sox tickets) and a GRAND PRIZE OF $500.

• Each Team must consist of 2-6 players to be eligible to compete or earn points or prizes.  Employees of Alisson’s are not eligible and may not in any way take part on any competing team.  Any team (and all its players) that gets any assistance from an Alisson’s employee, determined solely by the Trivia DJ, will be immediately expelled from the competition in its entirety.

• Cell phones, Texting, Internet access, Lifelines & outside help of any kind are strictly prohibited (meaning any assistance from someone/something other than the 2-6 players on a team). The Trivia DJ will make the final decision if this rule has or has not been violated. If it is decided by the Trivia DJ that the rule has been violated, the offending team and all players on that team will be immediately expelled from the competition in its entirety.
• Team Name & Team Captain must remain the same throughout the competition. All other players can change at any time.  You do not need to participate every week to be eligible for the Final Tournament, but the team captain must be present to earn points for the team.
• Weekly Points are awarded to teams. These points accumulate over the 11 week competition.  The 10 teams with the most points at the end of the 11 weeks will advance to the final.  Should one or more of the top 10 teams choose not to compete in the final, the team(s) with the next highest point total will advance.
  • Weekly Points:
    • 1^st place: 10 points (and $20 off that night’s check*)
    • 2^nd place: 8 points (and $10 off that night’s check*)
    • 3^rd place: 5 points (and $5 off that night’s check*)
    • All teams that compete: 2 points

* The discount on the check cannot carry over to another date.  Use it or lose it.
* In the case of a tie for any of the top 3 positions, the points & discount for that position will be divided evenly among the teams that are tied.
* It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to make sure the team name and points are correctly accounted for with the Trivia DJ before leaving any weekly competition.  Alisson’s Restaurant & Game Time Trivia will not be responsible for any errors in calculations after this.

Alisson’s Restaurant and/or Game Time Trivia DJ can expel, remove or terminate any team or any player from the competition at any time for any reason. Decisions made by the Trivia DJ are final.
